Product Review: The Latest Apple Watch! Apple Watch Series 7

The Apple Watch series 7 came out in October of 2021. There are many different options for smart watches including Fitbits, Samsung Galaxy watch, and older models of the Apple watch. What makes the Apple Watch series 7 the best option?

First Impressions

I have never had a smart watch before. I have been wanting an apple watch because I want to run without my phone. When the watch first arrived, the packaging was very appealing. Like all Apple products, the packaging is sleek and simple. It is a white box with the apple logo. Inside, there are two boxes. One for the band and another for the watch face. The screen is very nice. It is small and convenient. The bands fit in really well too. I got the starlight aluminum watch with the starlight band. The band is nice quality and feels good. I really like the watch so far. My first impressions of this watch were good. Set up was fairly easy as well. It asks for your apple ID..I actually forgot my apple ID password, so it took me a while to set up.

Testing and Features

The apple watch series 7 has an always on display. This means that the watch is always on, so you can see the time without having to turn it on. You can swipe between different watch faces and see which one you like. On the watch face, you can customize what is on the front. I put the time, date, weather, heart beat, gate app, and messages. I like how I can listen to Spotify and download other apps on the Apple watch! One thing I have not figured out yet was the gate app. For my house gate and garage, I use the myQ app to open and close my gate. I was thrilled when I saw that I could download the app onto my apple watch. However, when I tried using it, it does not load. It is a black screen with myQ. Maybe I need something else to get it to work.. I don't know. Hopefully I can figure it out soon so I can go on runs without having my phone. I got the watch version without the cellular data, so if I want to text I will still need my phone.

Heading #3: Pros and Cons

PROS:

- heartbeat monitor : I like this feature on the apple watch...but there are cheaper options that can do that too

- Notifications : I like how the notifications are not loud or distracting.

- Looks Nice: I think the apple watch looks nice. The design is simple and pairs well with whatever outfit. You can also buy different bands to color match.

Cons:

- Price : The apple watch is quite pricey. There are other alternative options that can do the same things as the apple watch

- MyQ app TT: I may be the only one who cannot get it to work , but it is a con for me that it does not work

**This is not a con or pro..but the oxygen level feature can only be used if you are above the age of 18.

The Final Score

Overall I give this a 4/5 stars. I really like it! It is pretty durable too. I dropped it on my hard floor and it did not leave any scratches or cracks. I was pretty surprised. The display is large and nice, so I would recommend it!
