Flightpath Coffee Shop Review in Austin, TX

This morning I started off the day at a coffee shop here in Austin, TX. Amidst this cold 30 degree weather, I wanted to go study somewhere cozy and warm. This was my first time at Flightpath.

Ambiance + Environment:

The coffeeshop is quite large with a lot of seating. It is pretty busy and they get a lot of customers. Many people work on their laptops or read books. It is a very calming and relaxing environment. It is a normal, room temperature. Not too cold, but also not too warm; it would be nicer if it was a bit warmer! Nevertheless, the ambiance of Flightpath is quite nice.

Coffee:

Flightpath offers a simple menu of coffee ranging from their New Orleans Special to a simple cappucino. I ordered their hot chai latte and my friend got the New Orleans.

The new Orleans is a cold brew with condensed milk. It is an iced coffee. My friend says that "it is overpriced. It is an alright everyday drink, but I wouldn't call it special. I feel like there are many other better options out there." It just tastes like a regular latte. You can barely taste the individualistic cold brew characteristics. He relates it to instant coffee.

My thoughts on their hot chai latte are similar to his. I don't think there is anything particularly special or outstanding about this drink. It is warm and has a subtle hint of Chai. However, it was strangely sour. I personally did not quite enjoy this drink. To be frank, I think Starbucks has a better Chai latte.

Wifi:

The wifi is free, so this is a great place for studying.

Overall, I think this is a great study spot, but it is not somewhere I would return to because their coffee is not that great and the selection of drinks is limited. They only have a few options on their menu, so if you are not particularly keen for coffee, this is probably not the spot for you. They also do not offer matcha. My rating is a 5/10.
