New Cookie Butter Latte from Paris Baguette Bakery Cafe

Paris baguette is a South Korean bakery that made its way to the U.S. They opened a location in Austin's Highland neighborhood and serve a variety of different drinks and pastries all with a Korean-French inspiration. From mochi donuts to croissants and matcha lattes, Paris Baguette has something for everyone. The new featured drink of the month is a cookie butter latte. They also have cookie butter mochi donuts too!

I ordered an iced cookie butter latte. It had a subtle cookie butter/biscoff taste with more of the coffee notes coming through the drink. If I was given the drink without its name, I wouldn't know it was cooke butter. My impression of this drink is not the greatest, since I am not the biggest fan of coffee or drinks with an overly powerful coffee taste. It did have that cookie butter grittiness though, which was nice.

Redemption: I tried their matcha latte, and I have to say it is the best matcha latte I've had in Austin. It is sweet, strong, rich, and creamy. The matcha is not watered down and it really packs a punch. The sweetness is perfect and not artificial tasting. There is a bit of matcha grittiness, but in a good way. Overall this drink was amazing. If you go to Paris Baguette and want to buy a drink to go with your pastry, I would skip the cookie butter latte and go for the matcha latte!
